Jazz Progressions
In this exercise, you will aurally identify harmonic progressions using chord symbols (G7 Dm7, etc.).
Options
- Levels: select the desired levels (green color indicates selection).
- Keys: select the key signatures you want to use.
- Show key: the key will be shown if selected.
- Show first chord: shows the notes and analysis of the first chord, if selected.
- Play reference before each exercise: a short chord progression will be played before each exercise.
- Tempo: sets up the tempo.
- Stop after: choose to end the exercise after a number of minutes or exercises.
- Click OK to start the exercise or press enter/return.
The exercise
Each button represents a chord in the progression. To identify each chord, click on the related button. Once correctly identified, the question marks are replaced with the chord symbol:
